In an article in this morning's Florida Today newspaper it was reported that Brevard County's existing home sales increased 17 percent in October 2008. That is the good news...the bad - prices continued to decline when compared with last year. Of course the lower prices are good news for buyers!
The local home resale gain is in stark contrast with the national housing report that had U.S. homes sales falling 3.1 percent. In October 2008 there were 423 re-sales and 361 in the same month last year. The median sale price fell 20 percent to $152,200.
