Brevard County Housing Market Heating Up
It is now June so things should be heating up in Brevard County, Florida! School is out. Vacations are being planned. And properties are selling.
I have been busy over the past week working with several buyers who are recognizing the value in this market.
A quick check of the May 2009 sales numbers for Brevard County reveals 665 units closed during the month. Of this number approximately 120 units were condos or town houses.
These numbers appear to be pretty consistent with last month's sales figures. And, according to the National Association of Realtors, the number of pending home sales in April was up and at its highest level in 8 years.
Although interest rates remain very low the rumors abound that rates will rise in the future. Predicting the future is for clairvoyants, economists and talking heads! Of which, I am none!
I will be working a more detailed market report over the next couple of days. Right now, buyer clients in the Viera and Suntree areas of Brevard County are my priorities! I really do love putting these buyers and sellers together!
