Sometimes my mind wonders. Those who know me say it is a wonder I have a mind!
This morning I was thinking about how people make the choices when buying a house.
As a real estate agent in Brevard County, Florida I have witnessed lots of buyers during the decision making process. It almost always seems they use the Goldilocks Decision Process.
Before I explain this GDP (don’t get confused with gross domestic product) let me refresh your childhood Goldilocks memories.
Once upon a time (they always start the same way) there was a girl named Goldilocks. She went for a walk and found a vacant house (no lockbox or sign out front).
She went inside (trespasser) and found three bowls of porridge.
Goldilocks was hungry. The first bowl was too hot. The second bowl was too cold. The third bowl was just right
There is more to the story … do a Google search and read the rest yourself!
My point… Narrow your choices down to a final three, not ten or twelve and decide which one is “just right.
You may look at six or more houses but in the end your decision will probably be narrowed down to three.
