You want my sellers to pay you more?

An interesting thing happened yesterday. I received a call from a Melbourne Florida real estate agent who wanted to know if my sellers would pay a higher commission.

I knew where he was coming from as I have dealt with the issue before. He supposedly had already scheduled a showing for my listing.

In his words, “after all, it has been on the market for XXX days.”

I work for my sellers in Viera and Suntree, Florida. I do not do anything that will disadvantage them or their interests. I do not know if my sellers would pay a higher commission but I will ask.

My response:

“Show the house. Bring me a reasonable offer with a mortgage pre-approval letter or proof of funds for a cash offer and I will present it to my sellers. We can go from there.”

I will wait and see what happens.
