Downsizing Can Be Good...or Bad

Rightsizing Your Life: Simplifying Your Surroundings While Keeping What Matters Most"Downsizing" seems to be either a good thing or a bad thing depending on its use.  Opponents of big government would like to see the government reduce its bigness.  Shareholders cheer downsizing as a reduction in expenses and obligations which will hopefully lead to additional profitability.

Some home buyers may see downsizing as a reward!  Some who have been hit by the economic downturn as a forced new beginning.

Downsizing often involves getting rid of a lot of clutter because you are giving up all that extra space. [Junk expands to fill the space available!]

Downsizing possibly means a smaller yard or even no lawn maintenance at all.  Downsizing may also have negative impacts as well such as less room for guests and less privacy.  As I get older I am of the opinion I want to downsize even more!

If you are downsizing in Brevard County, Florida there are numerous options to consider, such as:
  • Condos and townhouse communities,
  • Maintenance Free (100%) communities such as Indian River Colony Club,
  • Limited maintenance communities such as Heritage Isle and Grand Isle in Viera
  • Smaller homes on zero lot line communities with smaller yards
If you are considering downsizing in Brevard County, Florida, give me a call to discuss the options available so you can decide if downsizing will be good or bad for you!
