Real Estate Advice: Should You Have a Pre-Listing Inspection Done?

As a seller in Brevard County Florida you have major competition.  There are about 5,000 competing properties listed fro sale in the Brevard MLS system.

[If you are a FSBO (for sale by owner) this can be some useful advice as well.]

It takes a lot of work to get your house ready for the market.  If your home is more than a few years old, I always recommend a pre-listing home inspection.

Staging is important and can be a difference maker but knowing the condition of your home's "bones" is more important! [A good book can be a valuable resource such as Staging to Sell: The Secret to Selling Homes in a Down Market]

It is best to not be caught unaware of problems after you have a buyer.  By having the pre-listing inspection done you have the option to either address issues (recommended) or, at a minimum, disclose the issues up front to buyer prospects.
