Real Estate Prices Continue to Drop in Brevard County, Florida - Who Do You Believe About Setting Your Price?

Pricing Your Home to SellThis a simple home sellers quiz consisting of only one question.  However, it is a critical question.

Who are you going to believe when it comes to your list price for your house, condo or estate?

  1. Your own instincts.  As a seller you know how much you paid for your home and its condition. You  have a good "idea" as to its value, besides you know how much the house down the streets sold for a couple of years ago.
  2. Your friend's advice.   Your friends and neighbors want you to get the highest price possible, after all, your selling price may impact their home's value.
  3. Your real estate agent.  You hired a real estate agent to market your house.  You selected a real estate agent who has local knowledge (your neighborhood) . Your real estate agent is working for you and should recommend a reasonably competitive price that will achieve your goals.
Sometimes a seller will have doubts about their agent's recommendation.  That is probably because of the sticker shock.  Prices have dropped and continue to drop in Brevard County, Florida - even in places like Suntree and Viera!

The quality and quantity of buyer prospects viewing your property will be a major indicator of the appropriateness of price.  If your real estate agent suggested an appropriate list price and you (the seller) listened then traffic should be brisk!
