I am convinced it is not really a dislike for real estate agents but rather the perception that they will save money. After all, how difficult is it to market a house in a buyer's market? [This is a rhetorical question...really!]
There have been many studies conducted on how much money a FSBO saves by going it alone. I am not here to tell you that specific dollar figure because only you, as a seller of your own property,
- know how much your time is worth.
- know how many Saturdays and Sundays you want to do open houses.
- know how many websites and blogs you will promote your house on.
- know how confident you are in allowing strangers in your house.
It is not that FSBOs dislike real estate agents but rather prefer not to pay a real estate agent for something they can hopefully do themselves!
If you have tried it as a FSBO in Viera, Rockledge or Suntree and would like to discuss turning the marketing to a real estate professional, let me know.
