Your Listing Says Impeccably Maintained but Your Exterior Says "What?"

While reviewing market activity in Rockledge, Florida’s Ashwood Lakes subdivision this morning I noticed one of the listings with a descriptive comment identifying how the house was impeccably maintained.

This particular Ashwood Lakes home may indeed be impeccably maintained inside but the curb appeal, based on the photo in the MLS, sure looks less than that!  With almost dead grass and obvious landscape neglect, the house gave no impression of its apparent interior condition.

If there were There are three golden rules for real estate buyers. I think the top one is  "Buyers always seek impeccably maintained properties."   The number two rule is very similar to rule number one: "Buyers always seek impeccably maintained properties for bargain prices."  And the final rule is almost never broken by a buyer:  "Buyers never buy a house without going inside."

If your house is impeccably maintained, make sure your yard and exterior is as well!

By the way there are 8 single family homes for sale in Ashwood Lakes, priced from $149,900 to $220,000. Most of these homes were built in 2000 and 2001 so they are not too old and well maintained.  Ashwood Lakes is convenient to shopping, major routes, 45 minutes to Orlando, 20 minutes to the beaches, so if you are relocating to Brevard County, Florida, consider Ashwood Lakes.
