Who Needs a Real Estate Agent Anymore?

Americans are a transient people.  Employment opportunities make several moves during ones career very common.  Affordable travel makes it possible for mature Americans to retire to places like Florida without giving up family and friends.

Technology allows some to relocate and grab a flight to work in a distant city or just telecommute.

The same technology that enables us to relocate allows access to massive amounts of information on the new area, the schools, property vales, what is for sale, etc.  And, although all this information is available, buyers (and sellers) still need a real estate agent.

Even the government, Bureau of Labor Statistics states on its web site,
One of the most complex and significant financial events in peoples' lives is the purchase or sale of a home or investment property. Because of the complexity and importance of this transaction, people typically seek the help of real estate brokers and sales agents when buying or selling real estate.

The local knowledge, familiarity with the process and local custom (like who pays for Title Insurance in Brevard County, who selects closing company in Brevard County), allows your real estate agent to be a calming force as the or she guides you through this complex process.

And remember, the sellers pay the real estate agent's fees - not the buyer!

If you are relocating to Brevard County, Florida, for any reason - retirement, job change, or whatever - call me to assist you in the process.
