Take the Emotion From the Real Estate Transaction and You Don't Have a Deal!

If you have ever bought or sold a house then you have probably experienced the emotional highs and lows of a real estate transaction!  Take away the emotion from the real estate transaction and you don't have a deal!

The reality is...
  • Sellers are usually have an emotional attachment to their house or condo.
  • Buyers usually make purchase decisions on emotions.
  • Sellers sometimes take inspection results as personal attacks.
  • Sellers interpret a less than full price offer as a put down!
  • Buyers sometimes interpret a rejection of an offer with no counteroffer as arrogance on the part of the seller.
My advice to buyers and sellers is always the same….a house is a structure not a home.  Memories go with you when you move into and out of any house or condo.

Patience and respect for the other party to the transaction go a long way to getting through the deal with emotions in check!
