While reviewing a real estate advertisement for a house in Viera (Melbourne, Florida) one of the narrative remarks caught my eye - “better then new.” This was not a new house although it was only five or six years old. Still, better than new?
I searched a little more and found 13 listings in the Brevard MLS where the house was advertised with the exact same words - better than new. The oldest I found was built in 1968!
So I searched the Viera, Suntree and Rockledge areas of central Brevard County for new or almost new properties that were built in 2010. There were 45 listings with prices ranging from $118,900 to $669,000.
All in excellent neighborhoods like Chelford, Daintree, Milan, Phillips Landing, Turtle Creek, Heritage Isle and more!
If you are relocating to or buying a new house in Brevard County and new (or almost new) is your preference, they are available in most price ranges! Interestingly, "almost new" was used a lot in the listings but primarily for homes built in the past six or seven years.
One final note if you decide on brand new construction…take your real estate agent with you when you visit the builder model home. The model home representative works for the builder – not you! Have someone negotiate on your behalf!
