To Short Sale or Not in Brevard County, Florida (or any other place!)

Sometimes folks get in over their heads financially.   It is not always “their fault.”   The decision to short sale or not, should not include anything that resembles a blame game.

Facing a personal, financial or family hardship is life.

Nowhere is it written that there will never be challenges.  Sometimes you (or your spouse) lose a job.   Sometimes you face a job transfer or unemployment.

Sometimes there is a major illness, or even worse, a death in the family that claims the major bread winner.  Sometimes there is a divorce.

And these hardships can cause the greatest pressure on what is likely one's largest obligation - the house payment.

When this happens it may be time to downsize or move into a rental situation that is more affordable.

Letting all the other bills go while trying to pay an unaffordable mortgage can create havoc and is not the right direction.   Sometimes, a short sale is a consideration.

The key to a successful short sale is

when you realize you are not going to be able to make ends meet, act quickly."

In Brevard County, Florida, if a short sale is consideration – call me at 321-693-3850 or email me.  The first thing I will advise – talk with your lender as a loan modification may be a consideration.!
