Viera Florida Real Estate Agent Tells Clients to “Take a Hike!”

This is not what you think…  It is not a “firing” but rather a strategy.

A strategy, that is, to help get their home sold.

When selling you house it is always best to leave the property when prospective buyer’s arrive.    Why?

Two good reasons fro leaving (there are more) include...
  1. You want the buyer prospects to be open with each other and their real estate agent when touring your property.
  2. You want the buyers to feel at ease while examining every room. They have an agent and do not need a tour guide.
I have found that some sellers will stay during showings because they want to hear what the prospects are saying.  Their agent will request feedback from the showing agent later although experience has shown that only about 25% provide feedback.

Sometimes the seller is under the mistaken belief they can "help" their agent sell their house by pointing out all the highlights! [Why did they hire an agent?].

My advice – take a hike!

Go for a stroll especially when selling in Viera where there are so many parks, bike paths and more!  In Viera's Heritage Isle community (55+ active lifestyle), head to the club house!  Walk the dog. Go get a cup of coffee.

Leaving while your home is being shown is the "right step!"   And it will help your real estate agent sell your house!
