As we approach Memorial Day, Do Home Buyers Still Have the Advantage in Brevard County, Florida?

Back on May 16, 2006 I wrote “As we approach the Memorial Day weekend, buyers continue to maintain the advantage in this market.”  How much longer will buyer’s have the advantage?

On February 27, 2007 I wrote that although it continues to be a buyer’s market in Brevard County, Florida, the inventory remains steady at 7300+ active listings for single family homes.    Today, May 25,2011 there are 3,540 – almost half the inventory four years ago.

Even with the declining inventory, good deals remain.   If your goal is to locate a property at a reasonable price, then perhaps this is a good time to use your buyer's advantage.

If you are considering moving up, then perhaps it is the time to sell your home and take advantage of the market. Sure you may sell for less but you will also buy more house with the depressed prices!

Where is the market heading? Popular wisdom says prices will _____?  I don't know the answer - nor does anyone else!

Is this the best time to buy your new Viera, Florida home? There is no one best answer to that question that fits all. The answer depends on your circumstances.

Is this the best time to sell your Viera home? Again, your circumstances will dictate your response.
