I just read an article about how a couple, after deciding to part ways, decided on a do it yourself process.
It seems to me there are a few things in this world that should not be done without professional guidance - especially in a case like this where they owe much more on their house than it is worth and neither wants to keep the house post-divorce!
It seems to me the the logical thing would be to dispose of the house before the spouse!
There is a possibility the lender will forgive the debt or workout some other arrangement with the sellers. *A short sale may even be an option.
Nobody asked me but this sound likes a definite case where legal advice should be sought.
