Selling Your Brevard County Florida Home: Can a real estate agent motivate a seller?

The short answer is ….no.  Period. No way, no how.

Someone selling their home can be motivated by one thing…

their goals.

If the goal is to get as much money as possible for their property then they will prepare their home for the buyer.  (Not to their own personal taste and may even have to “un-decorate” to neutralize.)

If the goal is to sell their home they will price it against the real competitors.  (Selling is a competition.)

If they want to sell they will make reasonable accommodation of buyer prospect showing requests. (Can’t sell it, if buyer can’t see it.)

Goals take all form.  Some are trying to dispose of a property they can no longer afford due to hardship and thus are seeking a short sale solution.  Some are “move up” buyers looking to get what they can and buy more house for the money while prices are low (more importantly while interest rates are low).

Ultimately the seller’s goal and motivation set the tone for the effort. And it is up to their real estate agent to make it happen!

Your real estate agent’s job is to guide you in accomplishing the basic steps a seller must take to prepare the product.

Your real estate agent’s job is to market your homeproduct placement where your pool of buyers will see (and want to see your home).
