None was a short sale but rather all were standard (fair market) listings.
Why did they expire?
Could it have been the price was too high? I can't think of very many other reasons why real estate listings expire although an unwillingness to negotiate can have the same results.
As a seller what do you say to your real estate agent when your listing expires?
- You were right, Mrs. Realtor®. I did insist on pricing it too high.
- Let's extend the listing a few more months, a buyer will come.
- Mr. Realtor®, why did you suggest such a high price?
Expired listings tell a seller one thing for sure - the price a home will not sell for in the current market.
