Sometimes, as much as one thinks they must purchase a home, the reality may be renting for the present is the best option. Depending on the circumstances renting may be the only option at this time.
I recently spoke with someone who had no money, bad credit and only their word as a “promise” to pay.
They knew they could not get a mortgage. Owner financing was the most likely option.
I have no doubt about this individual's sincerity.
Still I had to explain the owner’s position from my perspective. A seller has to have some sort of reason to assume all the risk.
Buying a home is a major step and takes planning.
The initial planning should focus on desire and ability to buy.
