Home Seller Tips - Preparing to Sell Your Brevard County, Florida Home

No matter how pretty your house is or how nice your yard looks these factors alone will not sell your house for a significantly higher price than comparable homes in your neighborhood.

But if your home is prepared well and shows well you will have an advantage over the competition that may result in a slight boost in selling price or a shorter time on the market.

Like anything being sold to the public marketing your home is all about the packaging.  There are some things that can be easily done to enhance your property's packaging such as:
  • clean the carpet,
  • landscaping details,
  • paint the front door,
  • pressure wash the exterior and/or the drive way and walks,
  • clean the carpets,
  • get rid of the "junk",
  • de-clutter and de-personalize,
  • clean clean clean,
  • neutralize the paint scheme,
  • hire a professional stager, if necessary!
If you have limited time or a limited budget consider focusing on the two most critical (or used) areas of your home.   The kitchen and bathrooms are two of the critical features that influence buyers when shopping for a new home.

One last suggestion ....staging your home is important and can be a difference maker but knowing the condition of your home's "bones" is more important.  If your home is more than several years old consider a pre-listing home inspection.
