There were 444 residential sales in Brevard County, Florida in January 2013 with an average selling price of $142,134 which was slightly higher than the $141,039 average in January 2012.
A sign that activity is heating up is the January 2013 is the 77 average days on the market for sold homes - about 35 days less than a year ago.
The January 2013 median sales price was $100,000 up from $97,950 in January 2012.
The only down number this January was the number of residential short sales closing in January – 89 this year, 108 last year.
The above numbers represent the data in Brevard MLS system as of February 2, 2013. The data will change as end of the month closings continue to be entered in the system.
However, the trend will likely not change…. selling prices are rising!
