I suggest anyone considering selling their Brevard County, Florida home interview, at a minimum, three real estate agents.
Where will the interviewees three come from? It could be a friend's suggestion, an office you drive by frequently, or perhaps an Internet search.
Once the interview is scheduled, it is imperative sellers ask the right questions.
While it is a given every agent interviewed will tout their skills and methods for success how does a prospective seller evaluate that success?.
Is it the total dollar of sales? Not really. If an agent lists and sells a million dollars worth of property it could be only four listings in Viera, Suntree or one or two condos along Cocoa Beach!
The best questions include
- How many listings an agent has had in the immediate area (think local knowledge)?
- How many of the listings actually sold?
- What percentage of the recommended original listing price did the homes sell for (think reduction after "buying" a listing with an above market list price)?
- How long did the process take?
