What should be a prospective seller's next question?
While there are multiple questions to screen your potential agent to sell your Viera, Florida home, I suggest one of the key questions include "How will you market my home?" What is (are) the best methods of marketing to sell your home?
Marketing must be geared to who and where your potential buyer pool is located. In today's world it is very likely online although other methods including print, direct mail and open houses can have a place as well.
While there are many questions to ask when interviewing real estate agents to sell your home, I think there are two questions more questions that should be included with the ones mentioned above.
- How long have you been in the real estate business? Having gone through a real estate market shakedown over the past six or eight years, I think the real estate agents who were in the business before and remain in the business show a lot of characteristics that are key. Things like tenacity, creativity, stick to it ability, managing budgets, achieving results! (I have heard the number of real estate students is increasing now the market is back!)
- Have you ever sold any homes in my neighborhood? If so, when and what type of sale? I have written this many times – local knowledge is critical. Neighborhood knowledge is important.
